The PhAF made heavy use of its squadron of eleven AC−47s armed with machine−guns calibre 12.7mm during the height of the Moro revolt. Budgetary shortfalls and age of these venerable aircraft resulted in their withdrawal from service in the 1980s, along with cargo and ELINT variants. (Artwork by Tom Cooper)
