The C-47 Skytrain was used by both the USAF and RAF during the war. The aircraft was used as both a glider tug and paratroop cartier (C-47A U5-N 42-100558 “Buzz Buggy” 81st Troop Carrier Squadron, 436th Troop Carrier group flew from RAF Membury, Berkshire canying paratroops of the 101st airborne.
