A reconstruction of the Iraqi Mi-25 (‘Hind’) helicopter gunship. Its serial number – 2148 – confirms the delivery of a third – previously unknown – batch of this type to Iraq during the 1980s. Their camouflage colours included yellow sand and green on upper surfaces and sides and were applied in the same pattern as examples exported to a number of other customers (amongst others: Afghanistan, Libya, and Nicaragua). Notable is that the large national flag applied on the front of the cabin of this second batch of Iraqi Mi-25s was slightly narrower than that applied on the first batch. (Artwork by Tom Cooper)
