All Fiat G.91s in Guinea were assigned to Esquadra 121, which was responsible for attack, fire support, and airborne command and control. Alongside the G.91 “Tigres” flight, the squadron also flew T-6s (“Roncos”) and Do-27s (“Cafeteiras”). The G.91s fulfilled critical attack and reconnaissance roles, and with external fuel tanks they could quickly reach nearly any point in the Portuguese colony. This G.91 carries two 350-litre napalm tanks, one under each wing. (Artwork by Paulo Alegria)
