In a little-known deal concluded in 1957, Czechoslovakia delivered 30 T-34/85 medium tanks to the Imamate of Yemen. Additional examples were subsequently delivered directly from the USSR. This example – painted in dark yellow sand, with a disruptive pattern in (very bleached) olive green – then remained in service long enough to be operated in November 2016 by the forces loyal to the ousted President of Yemen, Abdrabbuh Mansur Hadiduring, during the Yemen Civil War of 2014–2022.
