An Air America C-46F seen at Da Nang, March 1975. The Central Intelligence Agency-operated airline still used three C-46s in South Vietnam, alongside Caribous, C-47s, Volpars, and helicopters. They were intensively involved in the various evacuations of the abandoned cities. The C-46 frequently took off with over 100 refugees onboard. (Artwork by Tom Cooper)
