A-50 - The Russian Aerospace Forces operates around 17 survivors from a reported 24 A-50s that were completed for domestic service up until the early 1990s. The type first entered (Soviet) service in June 1984 and the aircraft are now stationed Ivanovo, 250km (155 miles) from Moscow. The first upgraded A-50U was returned to service in October 2011.
