Fokker F27-200MAR Maritime D.2-01, C/N 10581, Esc 802, Spanish Air Force, Gando, Canary Islands - After test-flying in November 1978 with test registration PH-EXA, the first F27- 200MAR was leased to the Spanish Air Force for training and proving flights using the registration PH-FTK. In January 1979 it returned to Fokker for fitting out with maritime reconnaissance equipment. One of three of the type in Ejército del Aire service, D.2-01 later wore an overall grey scheme with yellow bands. Based in the Canary Islands for SAR duties, it was withdrawn from use at Gando by 2013 and more recently stored outdoors at Cuatro Vientos. In 2024 it was repainted for display at the Museum of Aeronautics and Astronautics.
