Manufactured by the Second Machine Industry, and installed on a Chinese Type-59 tank chassis, the Koksan guns were only exported to Iran. However, a few IRGC-operated M1979s were captured by Iraq during the campaigns of 1988 and re-painted as shown here. It remains unclear if any of these saw combat service by the end of the Iran-Iraq War. (Artwork by Peter Penev)
