This OT-62/R2 TOPAS armoured personnel carrier mobile command post version was originally delivered to Iraq, then captured by the Iranian forces during the war between the two countries of 1980–1988 and pressed into service by its new owners. A total of 140 OT-62/ R2s were manufactured by Podpolianske strojárne Detva for the Czechoslovak People’s Army for command sections of motor rifle and tank battalions of the Czechoslovak People’s Army, and equipped with R-105, R-112, and R-113 radios.
