The 4th Commando Brigade had at least one of these Land Rovers converted by local workshops to create an improvised armoured car. This example was armed with a Czech ZB-53 heavy machinegun and had the skull and crossbones unit symbol stencilled on the front. Nowhere in the history of the 4th Brigade is it mentioned that the unit had its own armoured element but this vehicle was seen in several press photographs. (Artwork by David Bocquelet)
