Douglas DC-3A
NC33609, C/n 4100
On 5 July 1941, NC33609 was delivered to Pan Am, operating mainly in the Caribbean until 1946 when it was transferred to Cubana de Aviacion S.A. and re-registered CU-P38, later CU-T38. Cubana had three DC-3s and ten C-47s in its post-war fleet. This one survived the Cuban revolution and the Bay of Pigs invasion, which claimed at least one sister ship, and went to Mexico as XB-FUJ with Aeronaves de Mexico in November 1964, at some point changing hands to Aerolineas del Pacifico and becoming XA-POK. The airline was based in San Jose, Baja and flew to 13 domestic destinations. In 1968 the DC-3 was noted semi-derelict at Long Beach Airport, California and was broken up there sometime after 1971.
