A VNAF Cessna A-37B of one of the three Dragonfly squadrons of the 61st Tactical Wing at Da Nang. This particular aircraft, fully loaded with two M117 750lb, four Mk 82 500lb, and two Mk 81 250lb bombs, was preparing for a new sortie against the approaching North Vietnamese when it was damaged on its right wing by enemy tanks entering the airbase. The pilot, who jumped out of the cockpit at the entrance of the runway, was taken prisoner. (Artwork by Tom Cooper)
