A Mitsubishi Ki-15 of the 15th Hiko Sentai, 12th Hiko Dan. This fast reconnaissance aircraft of the late 1930s was designed to penetrate the enemy airspace, and to take photos of their targets and escape before they could be intercepted. Nevertheless, at least six Ki-15s were shot down during the Nomonhan War, and seven others written off due to combat damage. (Artwork by Luca Canossa)
