The big fleet of 95 An-32 Sutlejs acquired by the IAF in the mid-1980s and operated by Nos. 12, 33, 43, 48, and 49 Squadrons (and the Paratroop Training School) wore essentially the same livery as Il-76s. Many aircraft involved in deploying the IPKF to Sri Lanka still lacked their service titles, but these became common for all the Sutlejs by 1990. Note the similar combination of the registration (K2677) applied on the fin with a letter applied behind the cockpit (E), as on the An-12s. (Artwork by Tom Cooper)
