Issued to the RAF in December 1931, Bulldog IIA K2209 joined 41 Squadron at Northolt in February 1932. It carried the unit’s double-armed cross and crown on the fi n. This Bulldog’s career with 41 was brief; it collided with Avro 504N K1999 of 24 Squadron on the ground at Northolt on September 26, 1932. Both machines were repaired: K2209 later serving with 111 Squadron. PETE WEST
