The Nanyuan Gunbus was a pusher fitted with an 80hp engine (Gnome or one of the Gyro engines imported from the United States in 1916). The Hotchkiss machine gun fitted in the nose was manufactured by the Hanyang Arsenal. The name ‘gunbus’ was inspired by the British Vickers FB 5 Gunbus. (Artwork by Jean-Pierre Baraton)
