Tekever AR4 Light Ray |
AR4 Tekever surveillance and reconnaissance drone, Ukraine, 2023 The hand launched AR4 Tekever is not the most advanced surveillance and reconnaissance drone on the market, but it is cheap to produce and illustrates how a low-cost unmanned drone may bring the same capability as a far more expensive, manned aircraft. The AR4 Tekever has proven its value in surveillance missions of various kinds, in Ukraine not least in the identi cation of safe ight routes for the more advanced, expensive, or heavily armed attack drones sent into combat. The AR4 Tekever has a cruise speed of 54 km/h, an endurance of two hours, a payload capacity of one kg, and a communications range of about 20 km. Its dimensions are 2.1 x 1.35 m.
