A400M - Germany initially planned to acquire 75 A400Ms, before reducing its order to 60 aircraft, then to 53. At one point, Berlin also planned to try and sell off 13 of its allocated aircraft, but plans were subsequently revised, and all 53 examples will be operated by the Luftwaffe from Wunstorf and Lechfeld air bases. This example serves with the first Luftwaffe unit, Lufttransportgeschwader 62 in Wunstorf, which received its initial A400M in December 2014.
