Grumman S-2A Tracker Bu. No. 136701, C/N G-610 VS-21, CVSG-53 USS Kearsage (CVS-33) United States Navy 1963 - This is a late production S-2A fitted with AN/APA-69A ECM set in the radome above the cockpit and a 70m candlepower AN/AVQ-2A searchlight under the starboard wing. It was delivered to anti-submarine squadron VS-37 ‘Sawbucks’in 1959. In 1963 it was with VS-21 ‘Fighting Redtails’ as served for at least two years with the unit, which made cruises to the eastern Pacific and to Vietnam waters in this period aboard USS Kearsage. Upgraded to S-2F standard, by 1966 it was assigned to Replacement Air Wing RAW-93 at NAS Willow Grove, Pennsylvania. In July that year it was sent for storage to AMARC at Davis-Monthan AFB, Arizona.
