This Cessna 180H Skywagon was imported to Rhodesia by the Mission Aviation Fellowship. Following a minor accident and repair in 1978, it was purchased by Chris Thorne of the Mazoe Flight, PRAW. Because of the danger of man-portable air defence systems like Soviet-made 9K32M Strela-2 (‘SA-7 Grail’), it was sprayed overall in ‘anti-Strela’ grey. Moreover, it was armed with a Browning machine gun. It was re-registered as Z-WMR in 1980. (Artwork by Leon Manoucherians)
