One of eight G.Ills assigned to Bombenstaffeln (Bosta) 2, of Bomber Geschwader Der Obersten Heeresleitung (Boghol) |, night camouflaged example c/n 2813 was employed on raids against Paris in early 1918. Commanded by Vzfw. Sturm, it was damaged by anti-aircraft fire and force-landed intact near Ghent in Belgium on 18 February 1918. The Belgian Air Service put it back into service in their own markings and it was evaluated at the French test centre at Villacoublay.
