The struggle by Arab air forces to match Israeli ground attack capabilities were answered, in a small way, by the Soviets sending a squadron of Su-17s to Egypt. Usually referred to as Su-20s and operated solely by 34 Squadron, aircraft 7759 typifies the colour and markings of the EAF jets. Below are two configurations of Egyptian 910 litre drop tanks.
