In 1935, four Curtiss BT-32 bombers en-route to Bolivia were interned by Peruvian authorities following the embargo on arm sales imposed upon that country by the League of Nations. After brief service as passenger aircraft in Peru, two surviving airframes were pressed into service with the CAP as transport aircraft. After an overhaul at the Caproni works in Lima, the Condors were pressed into service with the 105 Escuadrilla de Transporte, still wearing their original livery of silver dope.
