The Curtiss-Wright CW-16E was a high-performance trainer built by the Curtiss Wright Corporation during the early 1930s. Ecuador purchased six CW-16Es, a model fitted with a Wright J-6 engine, in 1935 as part of government efforts to modernise its military aviation. (Artwork by Luca Canossa)
