Among the locally-built aircraft used by the MAS during the De la Huerta Rebellion were the TNCA Serie B Puro biplanes equipped with imported French Salmson engines. About five were manufactured and they are known to have been armed with twin .45 calibre Thompson sub machine guns for the observer, but no bomb racks. After the arrival of the American built DH.4Bs, they were relegated to other theatres of operation. Reportedly, one was lost to rebel ground fire, but the crew survived and escaped.
