Among the aircraft deployed by the Federal forces during the De la Huerta Rebellion of 1923–24 were two Junkers-Larsen JL-6s that were used as bombers and reconnaissance aircraft. This example arrived in a dark green colour because it had previously served with the US Postal Service before being sold to Mexico by the Mercury Aviation Company and had the serial 2-E-82.
