The Bedford MK 4-tonne truck, first introduced in 1970, served as the primary transport for non-mechanised Regular and Territorial troops in the British Army. It also performed a wide range of logistics and support roles including a simple cargo truck, fuel bowser, office and communications vehicles, and as the launch vehicle for the Midge Remote Piloted Vehicle.
