Replacing worn-out MF.7s, at least six Maurice Farman MF.11s were deployed at Arcila in 1915. These aircraft were operational until June 1917. In Spain, both the MF-7s and 11s were known as of “Aceitunas” (Olives) due to their olive green paint and the shape of the cockpit, which held two crew. Note the aviation insignia on the nose.
