Four Maurice Farman MF.7s were deployed at Tetuán in October 1913, being operational until the end of 1919, but being progressively replaced by the MF-11s and Barróns. They earned the nickname of “Longhorn” due to the superstructure in the nose resembling horns or antennas. This plane was the first to be attacked by Rifians, with the crew of two injured and earning the first Laureate of the Spanish aviation. Specifications: 95 Kms/h; power to weight ratio 0.06 (52kw engine, 855 Kg loaded weight); ceiling 4,000m; range 300KM. (Artwork by Tom Cooper)
