North American T−28D (the type was nick−named Tora−Tora in PhAF service) from the early 1990s, by when some were waring this worn−out dark− green camouflage. The venerable T−28 trainer became the primary tactical strike plane from the mid 1970s through the early 1990s. Insets are showing the 12.7mm machinegun pod, BLU−27 napalm tank, LAU−7H pod for unguided rockets calibre 2.75in, and Mk.81 bomb. The T−28s also locally designed cluster bomb units which consisted of mortar grenades calibre 81mm. Inset is showing the crest of the 15th Strike Wing – usually applied on the fin of Philippino T−28s. (Artwork by Tom Cooper)
