Like Spitfires, remaining Fury FB.Mk 11s of the No. 1 Squadron were also relegated to advanced training role when that unit was numberplated, pending its conversion to MiG-21s. All the aircraft of the fleet retained this look throughout their service in Egypt: high-speed silver overall, with roundels in six positions, and typical identification markings around wingtips and the rear fuselage.
