The second motorised infantry company of the GT-2 was equipped with eight BTR-60PB armoured personnel carriers. Like BTR-152s, all of these were kept in olive green overall, as already painted before delivery. No specic markings are known to have been applied to the vehicles of the GT-2. The BTR-60PB was armed with a single 14.5mm KPWT heavy machine gun. The GT-2 is known to have lost at least one during the short but sharp clash with South African ground troops and air power.
