One of two aircraft donated to the Peoples’ Army of Vietnam (PAVN) by Bao Dai in 1945 (the other was a MS.500), this Tiger Moth became one of the first aircraft used by the Vietnamese Air Force on its establishment in August 1949. At the controls was Nguyen Due Viet. On its first flight, the aircraft was damaged and remained out of service until July 1954. (Artwork by Jean-Marie Guillou)
