Landing Craft Vehicle & Personnel (LCVP) were used by each of the 10 naval assault divisions (Dinassaut) in Indochina after their creation in 1947. Used alongside Landing Craft Tank (LCT), Landing Craft Assault (LCA), or Landing Craft Mechanised (LCM), the LCVP operated both in Cochinchina and in Tonkin along the Mekong Delta and the Red River Delta.
