In 2000–2001, under Project Ababil-100, the Iraqis increased the number of launchers for Ababil-50 rockets by installing the SM-90 launcher of the S-75/SA-2 SAM system onto the flatbed of FAP 3232 trucks originally used to carry reloads for the Ababil-50. The number of tubes was decreased to six per launcher, and tubes were installed on a shortened arm from the SM-90. The resulting Ababil-50/Dvina was put on display during a military parade in Baghdad, but it remains unclear if any saw action during the US invasion of 2003. (Artwork by David Bocquelet)
