All combatants employed artillery rockets of various sizes and launch system complexity, most supplied by the USSR and referred to as Katyushas. Israel captured some of the large truck-mounted systems and a goodly store of the rockets during the Six-Day War. Like this BM-24, they were pressed into service and Israel manufactured additional rounds. (Artwork by David Bocquelet)
