This Fouga CM.170 Magister (construction number 49) was one of three acquired from France and delivered to El Salvador on 26 April 1979. It was powered by Marbore VI engines and received the FAS serial 511. While serving with the Escuadrón Caza y Bombardeo, at the Ilopango Air Base, it was armed with two nose-mounted machine guns calibre 7.62mm. It is shown as of around 1990, by when most of the airframe and wings were painted in dark tan colour, with some traces of dark green on the lower rear fuselage and engine nacelles. The jet was written off in 1992. (Artwork by Luca Canossa)
