Iraq acquired a total of no less than 75 Bo.105Ds, and at least four Bo.105Cs, manufactured by Messerschmitt-Bölkow-Böhm in former West Germany, and at least 24 CASA-made Bo.105Ps. A few of these served for SAR purposes, while a handful was equipped as VIP-transports, but most of the Bo.105Ds served with the IrAAC as scout- and attack-helicopters. A few received a calibre 20mm, Swiss-made Oerlikon KAA cannon installed under the cabin, but their primary armament armament consisted of HOT ATGMs, and various pods for unguided rockets (such as Brandt 22x68s).
