The Deutsche Lufthansa Peru branch operated in Peru between 24 May 1938 and 31 March 1941, when the Peruvian government withdrew its operation permit. The next day the Peruvians seized Lufthansa’s two Junkers Ju-52s and pressed them into service with the CAP. These aircraft were OA-HHC-304 (construction number 5272), christened Huandoy, and OA-HHA-294 (5283), named Huascarán. (Artwork by Luca Canossa)
