Because of the vast distances and isolation of its team sites, MINURSO is supported by several aircraft and helicopters. Amongst them were always
two Antonov An-26s: the first two of these – including the example shown here, deployed in Western Sahara in the second half of the 1990s – were
provided by Russia. They were replaced by two aircraft of the Romanian air force, and then by others. As usual, all were largely painted in white, and
