1. PzKpfw IV Ausf H, 3./Panzer-Regiment.21, 20.Panzer-Division, Belarus, June 1944. This
Vomag PzKpfw IV Ausf H was from the 3.Kompanie of Panzer-Regiment.21, evident from its
tactical number of 301. It was knocked out during the fighting for the Bobruisk pocket at the end
of June 1944 near the town of Zhlobin. The regimental insignia, a knight on a horse, can be seen
on the front of the turret Schurzen. The standard camouflage pattern adopted in 1943 consisted of
a base finish of RAL 7028 dark yellow, with patches of RAL 6003 olive green and RAL 8017 red
brown applied by the unit in the field or depots issuing the tanks. This tank is fitted with a
replacement gun barrel that is still in its factory dark-gray heat-resistant primer.
