One of the fourth batch of AV-8As to be delivered, BuNo 159239 made its frst ﬂight on
April 11, 1974, and operated with VMA-231; note the “Ace of Spades" motif on the nose. It
was retired in 1986 and is currently on display at the San Diego Air & Space Museum.
