Another of the many captured Iraqi vehicles pressed into service was this ZSU-57-2. The vehicle received a fresh coat of the IRIA’s light olive green overall, and Iranian national insignia on all four sides of the turret. The ZSU-57-2 had two 57mm S-60 anti-aircraft guns installed in an open-top turret, mounted on the T-54 chassis. The guns could elevate up to 85 degrees and were fed from four-round clips. Lack of radar control made them fairweather weapons, but they proved deadly opponents for helicopters. (Artwork by Radek Panchartek)
