After the war, the Bonanza VP-YGZ was re-registered as Z-YGZ. It was in this scheme, with Rally Number B1, that it took part in and completed the World Vintage Air Rally from London to Sydney, in 1990. Bill Andrews and Jim Trounsen flew it to London from Zimbabwe for the start. At one stage, in Malaysia, Bill Andrews organised car fuel for competitors, when they landed and found no aviation fuel available. They finished the rally earning the Points Prize.
