The LPR possessed one example of a vehicle called the ‘MOP,’ an experimental crossing support vehicle, based on the PTS-3 amphibious transporter chassis. This one-of-a-kind vehicle, which never entered serial production, was equipped with a small turret with a 7.62mm PKT machinegun, an excavator arm, bulldozer blade, winch, and other equipment to support amphibious crossings. In addition to parades, it was used by the LPR in the field as an engineering vehicle.
