During the evacuation of Carranza’s forces in May of 1920 to the Port of Veracruz, the air service organised air cover with two TNCA Serie A biplanes and one Farman F.50Bn2 bomber. One of the reported Serie As was 37-A-52, shown here while it was assigned to the northern part of the country in 1918–1919 and sported an Indian head insignia painted on its rudder. This aircraft was equipped with a Hispano Suiza 150hp engine imported from Spain. (Artwork by Peter Penev)
