An SF−260TP of the 15th Strike Wing carrying a seven round 70mm rocket pod. The first armed SF.260s entered service in the 1970s, initially in form of piston engined SF−260WPs. Through the 1990s, the fleet was so much worn out, that there was shortage of operational airframes. This forced the PhAF to press SF.260TPs from the 100th Training Wing into combat operations. Most of these aircraft were painted in this disruptive camouflage pattern, consisting of sand, dark green, dark brown, and black, and several wore prominent ‘sharkmouth’ insignia on engine cowling. Crest on the fin is that of the Philippine Air Force.(Artwork by Tom Cooper)
