Egyptian Meteor F.Mk 4s were all painted in high-speed silver overall for entire duration of their careers with the EAF, and also received the usual set of national insignias and identification stripes. Like on Vampires, serials were applied in Arabic and European digits on the rear fuselage and undersides of wing surfaces. As of October 1956, all eight remaining F.Mk 4s were assigned to the No. 40 FTU at Fayid, but nothing is known about their participation in the Suez War. (Artwork by Tom Cooper)
