Japanese Type 89 Chi-Rho medium tank. Eleven tanks were left by the Japanese on their retreat from Phnom Penh in August 1945. Gratefully put into service by the French, the Type 89 Chi-Rho, Type 95 Ha-Gos and at least one Type 89 I-Go, were used first by the Groupement Blindé du Cambodge (GBC), then by the 5e RC. Tanks used by these units would, therefore, wear the emblem of the 5e RC (a Polish eagle) and the French flag (Artwork by David Bocquelet)
